Volunteer Opportunities

Medical and Non-medical volunteers

Global Care Force has opportunities for medical and non-medical volunteers to serve in El Paso, Texas to provide compassionate care for asylum seekers and migrants at the southern border. In partnership with local shelters, volunteers will treat shelter guests who have legally entered the country and are waiting to complete their documents and move on to their next or final destination.

Medical volunteers provide primary care to individuals and families who arrive suffering from acute and chronic illnesses, open sores, wounds, and intestinal or respiratory issues after a long and treacherous journey in search of a safer life.

Non-medical volunteers assist the shelter staff with providing comfort to the guests, food preparation, cleaning, maintenance and overall supervision of the shelter.

Volunteers are asked to serve a minimum of one week.

Global Care Force volunteers serve without distinction, provide continuity of care to those in need, and are respectful of other cultures and faiths.
