As President and CEO of Global Care Force, Lauren leads the organization’s strategy, partnerships, and growth as it expands its humanitarian medical work in Ukraine and beyond. He works closely with the board, team, volunteers, donors, and global partners to strengthen GCF’s programs, increase philanthropic support, and position the organization for long-term impact.

Lauren first joined Global Care Force in early 2025 as Director of Global Strategy and Advancement, where he focused on expanding strategic partnerships, strengthening communications, and advancing support for GCF’s global programs before being appointed President and CEO.

Lauren brings more than 15 years of experience in international development, humanitarian engagement, and nonprofit leadership. Before joining Global Care Force, he served as Senior Program Manager for the Africa Division at the International Republican Institute, where he oversaw a $20M+ portfolio of programs across Sub-Saharan Africa. His international development experience also includes work with the Millennium Challenge Corporation supporting U.S. development investments in West Africa, including programs in Benin and Senegal. He also founded and directed Reach 77, a grassroots nonprofit supporting refugees, survivors of human trafficking, and underserved communities in Chicago.

He holds an M.A. in Intercultural Studies and a B.A. in Political Science.

As Vice President of Global Programs, Roxanne Alexander-Jones leads the strategic vision for volunteer engagement and program development. With over 30 years of leadership experience in the healthcare sector and a deep commitment to global health, Roxanne oversees the recruitment, education, and management of volunteers who work in underserved communities worldwide.

Her role includes managing partnerships with both domestic and international organizations, creating high-quality volunteer experiences, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. She collaborates closely with the Founder/Executive Chairman and the President/CEO to ensure alignment in strategy and operations across Global Care Force’s international programs.

Steve Hower serves as Director of Donor and Partner Engagement, overseeing donor stewardship, fundraising initiatives, and strategic partnerships that support Global Care Force’s mission of inspiring service and sustaining health. Prior to joining Global Care Force, Steve spent more than two decades with Heart to Heart International, serving in leadership roles across strategic partnerships, corporate relations, operations, programs, and volunteer engagement. His experience building collaborative partnerships and engaging supporters helps expand access to healthcare for vulnerable communities worldwide.
