Friends,
For many living in communities caught in crisis, survival is a daily struggle. Basic medical care is out of reach and hope feels even more distant. But hope has a name. It’s the name of every generous Global Care Force donor and volunteer who gives, serves and shows up for others.
The backbone of GCF is our devoted supporters who give faithfully each month. Yet sustaining and expanding our vision requires more than individual generosity. It also depends on partnerships, philanthropic grants, and government support.
In October, Dr. Lev Prystupiuk, our Ukraine Medical Director, Lauren Seaman, Director of Global Strategy and Advancement, and I traveled to Washington, D.C., for a week of high-level meetings aimed at expanding GCF’s visibility, partnerships, and funding opportunities. We met with congressional offices, U.S. agencies, the Embassy of Ukraine, international NGOs, and policy institutes to share our story, explore collaboration, and advocate for humanitarian support to continue our work in communities in crisis.
At the InterAction Forum, we connected with other NGOs facing uncertain futures due to government funding cuts – funding Global Care Force has never received. Many were astonished to learn that our volunteers are the only medical teams serving in some of Ukraine’s most devastated, de-occupied areas. The trip was both productive and hopeful, building meaningful new relationships and elevating awareness of our mission at a pivotal moment for humanitarian engagement.
As we continue building new pathways for funding, your support remains more vital than ever. Global Care Force is at a turning point. Your generosity sustains volunteers who bring life-saving medical care and hope to hundreds around the world. As we approach the end of the year, I ask you to give again, or give a little more, to help ensure this work continues in 2026 and beyond.
Because hope has a name, and it could be yours!
With gratitude,
Gary
