Friends of the Force: Stu Richards

Can you share why you support Global Care Force?

After my experience with this truly dedicated team who guided us from the Belarus border to Odessa. I could see the kindness and the concern they had for this mission. There was a true concern and caring for what was happening to the Ukraine people.

What criteria are most important to you in determining what organizations you support?

A. The program must have a consist plan for providing service to the target population. I could see this with the fact that Global Care Force had missions to continue follow up care about every 6 weeks with a new team. There was actual continuity of care.

B. That the team operates on a very strict budget and that majority of the funding is going directly to provide care to the population we are servicing.

C. That the organization is well established as was Global Care Force and Dr. Morsch has been operating missions like this all over the world for decades.

We know a lot of our donors are not in a position to volunteer with Global Care Force, so financially supporting our volunteers is a way they can participate. Would you agree and why?

A. I fully agree that donors are the underpinning of the organization. The Volunteers also support their own mission, but that alone could not allow the GCF to continue to operate.

B. Donors should understand that their donations are put to good use and there is full accountability as to where these funds are spent.

If someone wanted to become a regular donor to Global Care Force, what would you tell them?

I would say there are many NGO’s you can help support and Global Care Force is one the best I have been involved with. I fully recognize that many people are working hard to help those in need and this is just one group, but rest assured the investment the donors make is well spent.
