What inspiries you to give on a regular basis? 

The word of God, Luke: 6:38. I’m also inspired by a quote from Jim Elliot, a committed missionary, ” He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.”

Many supporters are not able to volunteer themselves but chose to empower volunteers through financial gifts. Is that true for you?

Yes, and no. Yes, due to family obligations of taking care of my elderly mom, I am no longer able to serve globally. However, I still volunteer at our local Rescue Mission, and I continue to help with health fairs for the homeless at our American Osteopathic Association’s Medical Convention. This gives me an opportunity to teach medical students the importance of service, and provide free health screenings to homeless men, women, and children.

What criteria matter most to you when deciding which organization you will support?

What is their purpose, are they credible, and is there transparency.

What would you say to someone considering becoming a regular donor to Global Care Force?

I have worked with Dr. Gary Morsch and Mr. Steve Hower over the years. First, they are men of God, and they are men of integrity. You can be assured that your donations will be used for the purposes intended.
