As Russian Attacks Escalate, Colorado Medical Volunteer Hard at Work Helping in Ukraine

On the same day Russian bombs, drones and missiles smashed into southern Ukrainian cities, killing six and injuring 30 others, a medical volunteer from Colorado was hard at work in the war-torn country.

Doug Amis is aware of the peril, and it’s not the first time he’s run toward the danger that so many others run from.

“The way I look at it is, if I can, I should,” Doug Amis, a physician’s assistant from Castle Rock, told FOX31.
