A Letter of Gratitude from Ukraine
by Brenda Poor

In the small village of Oleksandrivka in the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine, a woman named Natalia put pen to paper to express her heartfelt gratitude.

Natalia is one of many older residents living in rural villages across Ukraine who have no access to consistent healthcare. Like others in her community, she has lived through war, hardship, and isolation — and yet, what shines through in her words is not despair, but deep appreciation.

“I sincerely express my heartfelt gratitude to the volunteer doctors from America, Global Care Force, who, during wartime, risking their lives, traveled to distant Ukrainian villages to provide highly qualified medical assistance to sick people.”

Our team of medical volunteers visited Natalia’s village in July 2025 continuing the commitment to return every other month to provide primary care and free medications. Many of the patients they treated are hard-working individuals living on limited incomes.

Yet, even with so little to give, Natalia found a way to say thank you. Her letter is one of the most meaningful gifts our team could receive.

“Communicating with these wonderful and educated people brings great satisfaction. They kindly meet with patients, respectfully listen, and sincerely try to resolve every issue brought to them… I sincerely wish you strong health, peace, prosperity, and continued success in your noble medical work — to you and your families.”

Natalia closed her letter with a wish that faith, hope, and love would never leave the hearts of those who raised such “wonderful, intelligent, and kind” people.

Her words are a powerful reminder of why Global Care Force continues to serve — not just with medical skills, but with compassion, presence, and care.
