Friends,
In June, Global Care Force launched its mission in Jordan with our inaugural medical team – and immediately found themselves serving in the middle of the conflict between Israel and Iran.
As missiles and drones streaked across the night sky, our four American volunteers and the local Jordanian partners gathered on their hotel balcony, grateful for Jordan’s military defense system protecting the airspace above them. Despite the uneasiness of being so close to war, they never wavered from their purpose.
Over two weeks, they accomplished something extraordinary: four locations, nine clinics, 620 patients treated, and over $12,000 in free medications distributed.

Most people picture refugee camps when they think of Jordan’s displaced populations. But reality is different and more complex. According to the UNHCR, 82% of refugees live in urban areas, crammed into hastily built houses without running water or electricity. These communities place a significant strain Jordan’s infrastructure and economy.
The patients who came to our clinics are suffering. Because of their refugee status, many adults are unable to work or access basic medical care. Our team treated patients with chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and urinary track diseases.
Nearly half of Jordan’s refugee population are children. Our team provided rehydration kits to several children who were dehydrated or close to it. One little boy arrived with stitches on his tongue. We couldn’t determine how or when he was injured, only that the stitches needed to come out. Anesthesia was not available, but he never cried. You can only imagine what his daily life must be like: living in poverty, unsure of what tomorrow will hold.
That little boy’s resilience inspires me to keep pushing our mission forward – to reach more communities around the world where basic medical needs remain unmet.

To ensure continuity of care in Jordan, we must return several times a year. We need medical professionals willing to step up and serve. Are you ready to volunteer? Are you ready to make a donation?
To make these missions possible, we need the ongoing support of supporters like you. Please consider becoming a regular monthly donor. Your support is vital. We need you!
With gratitude,
