Friends,
As fall approaches, Global Care Force (GCF) is gearing up for a busy and inspiring October. I’m thrilled to share that Dr. Lev Prystupiuk, our Ukraine Medical Director, will travel to the United States as a special guest for our Healing Hands, Global Hearts fundraising dinner on October 5 in Kansas City. While in town, Dr. Prystupiuk will also participate in a panel discussion on GCF’s impact in Ukraine, hosted by the International Relations Council on October 7.
The “Healing Hands for Ukraine” tour will continue in Denver and Washington, D.C., where Dr. Prystupiuk will connect with volunteers, donors, and partner organizations who make our work possible.
In Denver, he will speak at the Ukrainians of Colorado fundraiser on October 11 in Eldorado Springs. The keynote speaker at the event is former astronaut Scott Kelly, Ambassador for United24, Ukraine’s official fundraising platform. It’s a powerful opportunity to share how Global Care Force volunteers are making a tangible difference in Ukraine.
From there, Dr. Prystupiuk will travel with Lauren Seaman, our Director of Global Strategy and Advancement, and me to Washington, D.C., where we’ll attend the Forum 2025-InterAction Conference. This global gathering brings together leaders from across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to explore solutions to pressing global challenges, healthcare chief among them.
I’m proud that Global Care Force continues to broaden our reach and strengthen our voice on the international stage. In May, our team met with local government officials in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, to address urgent healthcare challenges and explore future partnerships to bolster the region’s healthcare system. We also met with representatives from the Danish Embassy’s recovery program in Mykolaiv to discuss potential collaboration.
These strategic engagements are already opening doors, facilitating high-level introductions and meaningful conversations in Washington, D.C., that will help amplify our humanitarian mission and deepen our impact.
As always, our progress is only possible because of you. If you’re in Kansas City, Denver, or Washington, D.C., Dr. Prystupiuk would love the opportunity to meet you and thank you personally for your support. If you have friends/family in the area, please invite them as well. We’ll be sharing more details soon. Stay tuned to our website and newsletter for event information.
Together, we’re transforming lives by bringing healing, hope, and humanity to the places that need it most.
With gratitude,
Gary
